All bookings made with Back to Eden Adventure are subject to the following terms and conditions. By confirming a reservation, the client agrees to these terms. All bookings are governed by the applicable laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Back to Eden Adventure reserves the right to accept or decline booking requests where necessary.
A 30% deposit of the total tour cost is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance must be paid at least four weeks before departure, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bookings made within four weeks of departure require full payment at the time of confirmation. All bank transfer fees and transaction charges are the responsibility of the client or booking agent, and the full invoiced amount must be received by Back to Eden Adventure.
Changes to confirmed bookings, including travel dates, accommodation, itineraries, or the number of participants, are subject to availability and approval. A handling fee of US$50 per booking may apply, in addition to any extra costs charged by accommodation providers, airlines, park authorities, or other third-party suppliers.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation charges are calculated according to the date the written cancellation is received:
More than four weeks before departure: 30% of the total tour cost.
Four to two weeks before departure: 50% of the total tour cost.
Two to one week before departure: 75% of the total tour cost.
Less than one week before departure: 100% of the total tour cost.
Certain bookings, including flights, special accommodation arrangements, or other non-refundable services, may be subject to additional supplier cancellation fees. Any applicable charges will be communicated as part of the booking arrangements.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and other required travel documents are valid and available before departure. Back to Eden Adventure is not responsible for travel disruptions, denied entry, or additional expenses resulting from incomplete or incorrect documentation.
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers. For mountain trekking, the policy should specifically cover high-altitude activities, emergency medical treatment, rescue, and evacuation where applicable.
Travellers are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the journey. For itineraries involving light aircraft transfers or mountain trekking, baggage restrictions may apply. Unless otherwise specified in the itinerary or confirmed by the relevant transport provider, a limit of 15 kg per person in soft-sided bags, plus a daypack, may apply. Clients should confirm baggage allowances before travelling, as excess luggage may incur additional charges or be refused.
Safaris, mountain treks, and other outdoor experiences involve inherent risks, including changing weather conditions, uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, and altitude-related challenges. Travellers are expected to disclose relevant practical limitations to the appropriate trip personnel, follow safety instructions, and comply with local laws and regulations.
Guides and drivers have authority over operational and safety decisions during the trip. Back to Eden Adventure reserves the right to modify an itinerary, restrict an activity, or remove a participant from an activity when reasonably necessary for safety or legal compliance.
Back to Eden Adventure will make reasonable efforts to deliver the services confirmed in the itinerary. However, changes may be necessary due to weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, flight disruptions, accommodation availability, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Where possible, suitable alternatives will be arranged. Any refunds, additional costs, or changes to confirmed services will be handled in accordance with the booking agreement, applicable supplier terms, and relevant law.
If Back to Eden Adventure must cancel a tour, the company will communicate the available options and handle payments in accordance with the agreed booking terms and applicable law. Refunds or alternative arrangements will depend on the circumstances and any non-recoverable third-party costs.
Tour prices are based on the park fees, government levies, taxes, accommodation rates, and supplier costs applicable when the quotation is prepared. If authorities or service providers introduce changes before travel, the total price may need to be adjusted. Any applicable changes will be communicated to the client.
Photographs or videos taken during a trip may be used by Back to Eden Adventure for promotional purposes only where appropriate consent has been obtained. Travellers who do not wish to appear in marketing materials should inform the company before or during the trip, and their preferences will be respected in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
By paying a deposit or confirming a booking with Back to Eden Adventure, the client acknowledges and accepts these booking terms and conditions. We encourage all travellers and booking partners to review the terms carefully and ask any questions before confirming their journey.
